He is responsible for all aspects of our delivery of taxation consulting and compliance services to the New England asset management and financial services sector. Joe brings 25 years of financial services related experience to McGladrey; both as the managing partner of Coopers & Lybrand’s (PwC legacy firm) global investment management tax practice and as a senior executive in two large U.S. asset managers. He has extensive tax, distribution and operational experience across the asset management industry having served regulated investment companies, fund of fund vehicles, and custodians.

Prior to joining Battea, Woody held management positions with NYFIX, Inc. and Javelin Technologies. His career began at Advent Software, where was the 20th employee of the leader in institutional portfolio management software. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Emory University.
