Joe is a director and leader of the Financial Services tax practice in New England. He is responsible for all
aspects of our delivery of taxation consulting and compliance services to the New England asset management and
financial services sector. Joe brings 25 years of financial services related experience to McGladrey; both as
the managing partner of Coopers & Lybrand’s (PwC legacy firm) global investment management tax practice and as
a senior executive in two large U.S. asset managers. He has extensive tax, distribution and operational
experience across the asset management industry having served regulated investment companies, fund of fund
vehicles, and custodians.

Woody Wood, Director of Sales, at Battea – Class Action Services, LLC where he manages the institutional buyside
marketplace, assisting clients implementing a best-in-class solution for securities class action settlement
recovery and fiduciary compliance. Woody Wood has over 20 years of sales and management experience, with a
proven record of building and managing sales organizations, distribution channels, and partner alliances. Prior
to joining Battea, Woody held management positions with NYFIX, Inc. and Javelin Technologies. His career began
at Advent Software, where was the 20th employee of the leader in institutional portfolio management software.
He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Emory University.

Jeff Collins is a partner at Foley Hoag LLP, a Boston-based law firm. His practice involves representing
investment advisers and private investment funds, in particular hedge funds. Mr. Collins is the Chairman of
Foley Hoag’s Business Department and Co-Chair of the firm’s Investment Management Practice Group.

Scott is a partner and leader of the Financial Services practice in New England. He is responsible for
all aspects of McGladrey’s delivery of assurance, taxation, risk advisory and IT consulting services to
the New England asset management and financial services sector. Scott has more than 15 years of “Big 4”
public accounting experience and has extensive experience across the asset management industry having
served both the alternative investment space, including hedge fund, private equity and fund of fund
complexes, and registered investment companies including mutual funds.
