Steven M. Giordano

Steve Giordano’s practice focuses on the formation of domestic and offshore private investment funds,
including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate investment funds and funds of funds,
from both a legal and tax perspective. He advises fund managers on a variety of issues ranging from capital
formations, regulatory compliance and internal governance to the structuring and negotiating of portfolio
investment transactions. Steve has experience on matters relating to management company structuring,
employment agreements, joint ventures, seed capital arrangements, soft dollars, blue sky filings and
issues involving regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Bingham from another Boston law firm, Steve was
portfolio counsel for Atlas Venture, an international venture capital firm. In addition, Steve practiced
as a certified public accountant with a Big Four accounting firm prior to attending law school.

Andrew Saunders
Head of Capital Introduction, Direct Access Partners
Andrew Saunders is the Head of Capital Introduction and a member of the Capital Alternatives Group at
Direct Access Partners. Prior to Direct Access Partners, Mr. Saunders held a similar role at EFX Prime
Services, the prime brokerage business of First New York Securities. Before EFX Prime Services, Mr.
Saunders was a Managing Director at Hedge Connection. His leadership responsibilities included business
development, client relations, investor liaison, media relations and strategic partnerships. Mr. Saunders
began his career on Wall Street was with Taylor Rafferty, a boutique cross-border investor relations
firm. During his 7-year tenure, he assisted senior management implement all aspects of their investor
relations programs including: corporate strategy development, IPO/Secondary road shows, media relations,
and led 12 ADR listings & IPOs on the NYSE and NASDAQ. Mr. Saunders holds the Series 7 and 63 licenses,
the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation (CAIA) and is an officer of the CAIA NY Chapter.
Prior to entering the financial services industry, Mr. Saunders spent four years in Malaysia and Indonesia
as a teacher and entrepreneur.
Michael J. Scanlon

Michael Scanlon has a unique vantage point to see the dynamic flow of asset raising in the alternative
business from his many years raising institutional assets. Working extensively in the hedge fund promotion,
business development and marketing arena with thousands of institutional investors, Michael is known to the
full spectrum of allocators and has also been a speaker at many conferences.
In 2005, Michael began to dedicate his time to the capital raising business, raising assets in-house for
two different hedge funds: Amivest, a platform of technical and quantitative funds within North Fork Bank;
and, River Edge Capital, a global long-short fund. He joined HedgeCo Securities as a partner in late 2008
and ran the third party marketing team of sales people. Currently, Mr. Scanlon has a Global Macro - LatAm
Fund with $1.7B in AUM, that he is marketing in the US, to the biggest allocators in this space.

Tim Crawford
President

Tim Crawford is the President of Chicago Alternative Investment Partners. Prior to joining Chicago AIP he
spent over 14 years at ABN AMRO Clearing, compiled during two different tenures, where most recently he was
a Director and Global Head of Alternative Asset Manager Clearing and Head of Capital Introduction. Prior
to this recent turn at ABN AMRO he was Executive Director of Business Development for the AlphaMetrix
managed account platform.
Tim has an MBA in Finance, Strategic Management and International Business from the University of Chicago
Booth School of Business and a BA in Finance from Lewis University. He serves on the Board of Regents for
Lewis University.

Alexis Graham

Mr. Graham has over 18 years of experience working in the hedge fund industry having co-founded
Acceleration Capital Group, (“ACG”) in March of 2008. Acceleration Capital Group is a division of Arcadia
Securities, LLC, an introducing broker-dealer owned and operated by a family office. ACG is a financial
services platform specializing in the placement of alternative investment products with a focus on earlier
stage hedge funds. In addition Mr. Graham is the managing partner of ACG Multi Series, a managed account
fund.
Mr Graham’s experience includes building the capital introduction program at VanthedgePoint Securities.
Further his experience includes building the hedge fund information company HedgeWorld.com, where he served
as Managing Director of Sales and worked as part of the team responsible for HedgeWorld Markets, a hedge
fund capital raising platform. He also held positions at Optima Fund Management, a New York-based fund of
hedge funds, and Gruss & Co. as a merger arbitrage analyst. Mr. Graham graduated from Hamilton College
with a Bachelor of Arts. He earned his MBA from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Mr. Graham holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
