Ms. Meer is a partner in K&L Gates’ Washington, D.C. office and a member of the Investment Management practice group. She focuses her practice on private investment companies, including hedge and private equity funds, negotiated mergers and acquisitions of investment advisers and broker-dealers, derivatives and related areas.

Ms. Meer structures private funds as limited liability companies, limited partnerships, offshore corporations, common trust funds and business trusts, and prepares disclosure documents and organizational documents for such entities. She also advises investment advisers, private fund managers and investment companies on compliance issues, including under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and whether their commodity interest-related trading or advice would require them to register as commodity pool operators or commodity trading advisors.

Mr. Vieira is partner at Fides Asset Management, responsible for internal processes and institutional relations. He began his career as a fixed income sales & trading associate. Later on, he performed the role of fixed income senior trader for bank proprietary desks. After MBA graduation in the US, he made a transition for asset and wealth management services. He was responsible for the creation and development of one of the largest companies in Brazil. Mr. Vieira joined Safdié Group in 2005 as Director of Investments and Head of Fund Advisory Services. In 2011, he moved to Fides Asset Management which is an independent entity, focused on equity long only and long & short funds. He holds a BA in business administration and post-graduate degree in finance from Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ). He undertook an MBA program at Thunderbird, School of Global Management in Phoenix, AZ.

With over 16 years of experience in the Latin American financial markets, Mr. Kaufmann leads the Latin American investor relations efforts of BTG Pactual Asset Management division. He has extensive experience in the Private Banking, Asset Management and Brokerage industries, and a career that spans over major international organizations including Prudential Securities in Boston, Opportunity Asset Management, Bank of America in Sao Paulo, Poalim Asset Management in London and, most recently, Bulltick Capital Markets in Miami.

Marcia brings 20 years of global industry experience, including senior positions in Brazil, Luxembourg and New York and is currently responsible for managing the sales and client teams that promote the full suite of Citi's solutions to investors, issuers and intermediaries in Latin America. Marcia re-joined Citi in 2011 from BNP Paribas, where she was most recently the Head of BNP Securities Services in Brazil. Marcia is an active member of the financial services community, as well as a strong supporter of the fast growing alternative investment industry in the region. Born in Brazil, Marcia received a BA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, the top business school in Brazil, and a MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
