Policy Chairman,
City of London Corporation
Mark Boleat has been Policy Chairman of the City of London since May 2012, leading on
strategy, resource allocation and engagement with legislators and regulators in the UK, Europe and across the
world on policy issues affecting London as a key international financial centre. This also involves taking a
lead on relations with local and regional government, along with building links with other International
Financial Centres such as New York, Beijing, Shanghai and Mumbai.
Mark represents the City on the boards of TheCityUK, Centre London Forward, London Councils, London and Partners
and is a member of the Shanghai International Financial Advisory Council of the Shanghai Municipal People's
Government. He is Deputy Chairman of the International Regulatory Strategy Group, the cross-sectoral
practitioner-led body comprising leading UK-based figures from the financial and professional services industry.
Outside the City, Mark holds a portfolio of non-executive positions including Chairman of the Jersey Competition
Regulatory Authority, the States of Jersey Development Company and Claim Witness Solutions Ltd.
Steven Huttler

Steven Huttler is a partner in the firm’s Financial Services and Corporate Groups. Mr. Huttler has extensive
experience in corporate, finance, investment fund and securities matters, including the representation of U.S.
and foreign investment funds, underwriters, and private clients in various registered public and private
offerings of debt and equity securities totaling in excess of $10 billion.
As part of his investment fund practice, Mr. Huttler has served as corporate counsel to many private investment
funds and partnerships based in or domiciled in the United States and in international and offshore
jurisdictions. Mr. Huttler's legal practice has exposed him to diverse fund clients with an exceptionally wide
range of investment programs and structures. He has also counseled small start-up hedge funds and financial
industry entrepreneurs. In recent years, Mr. Huttler has developed a unique and sophisticated practice in
developing tailored investment structures for non-traditional asset classes, sometimes referred to as
“alternative alternatives”.
Joel Press
Managing Member,
Press Management LLC
Joel Press is the Managing Member of Press Management LLC where he serves as a consultant to private investment
partnerships and advisors to these entities on matters related to strategic planning, operations, compensation
and succession planning. Mr. Press was a Managing Director in the Prime Brokerage division of Morgan Stanley
from January 2007 to June 2010. He was a senior partner and created and served as Head of the Global Hedge Fund
Practice at Ernst & Young from 1989 through 2006. From July 1968 through March 1989, he was an accountant with
Oppenheim, Appel & Dixon, a firm specializing in all aspects of brokerage clients including operations, trading,
and business strategy. He was admitted to their partnership in 1977, and was named to the National Management
Committee in 1981. Mr. Press is a frequent lecturer and speaker at conferences around the world on securities,
investment partnerships and issues pertaining to the financial services industry.
Mr. Press earned his BS in accounting from Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. He currently serves as a
trustee of Long Island University and also as Chancellor of the Brooklyn Campus. He serves on the National Board
of Hedge Fund Cares and the RBaby Foundation Board of Trustees. He is also treasurer of the Citizens Committee
for New York City and the Park Avenue Armory.
Stuart T. Sugarman

Mr. Sugarman has 25 years of Wall Street experience as an investment banker, investment manager and operator of
investment interests. As Vice Chairman of Prince Ridge Group, an investment bank/advisor with over 200 employees
he is responsible for overall business development worldwide. Previously as a senior executive at Cohen and
Company, he was responsible for structured products. Cohen and Company was merged with Prince Ridge.
Specializing in Alternative investment products and special purpose acquisition corporations, he has created
over 2 dozens vehicles covering a broad range of industries. Mr. Sugarman’s career includes such firms as
Alliance Capital and Morgan Stanley specializing in Emerging Markets. A graduate of the University of Maryland’s
Tydings Business School he is also a notes speaker and lecturer on emerging markets while serving charitable
organizations.

Michael Scanlon has a unique vantage point to see the dynamic flow of asset raising in the alternative business
from his many years raising institutional assets. Starting with the Banc of America Prime Brokerage team in 1999,
he worked extensively in the hedge fund promotion, business development and marketing arena with thousands of
institutional investors, Michael is known to the full spectrum of MFO, E & F and Institutional allocators. He
has also been a speaker at many Allocator and Hedge Fund conferences, recently with former SEC Chairman Harvey
Pitt on the “2012 Jobs Act”.
In 2005, Michael began to dedicate his time to the capital raising business, raising assets in-house for two
different hedge funds: Amivest, a platform of technical and quantitative funds within North Fork Bank and River
Edge Capital, a global long-short fund. He evolved to be an individual placement agent – 3PM in late 2008.
Currently, Michael has a number of multi- Billion dollar funds he represents globally and is actively marketing
to the biggest allocators in this space. His biggest joy is his family time raising his girls, playing some golf
and helping children charities, like Hedge Funds Care.
